Instructor Bio
Peter E. Watts is an author, educator and online instructor. After spending twenty years serving, leading and participating in local Christian churches, Peter began experiencing an evolving Christian faith. As he explored the Christian faith from new perspectives, he decided that no question was off limits and no concern unimportant. Although an often lonely journey, he was encouraged by a few friends and mentors who had also experienced an evolving faith. Peter remained a Christian but began practicing his faith in Jesus from a new framework. He now devotes much of his life to helping others navigate the difficult space between deconstructing and reconstructing their faith in Jesus, and learning to live the new normal from a place of hope and authenticity. Peter got his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in pastoral ministry from Life Pacific University and his Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus in the Social Sciences from George Fox University. He's an avid reader of history, progressive Christian movements, and written works centered on the sacrificial elements of Jesus' life, teaching, death, resurrection and the humble beginnings of the early Christians.
